Are you an infection preventionist at a rural community hospital or ambulatory surgery center that is planning on attending the Cleaning, Disinfection, and Sterilization Virtual conference? Our very own, Megan Crosser, will be leading an education session on Thursday, October 8th, 9:45pm PDT / 12:45pm EDT.

A High-Level Disinfection & Sterilization Toolkit for the Infection Preventionist

This session will cover background information on developing policies and procedures for high-level disinfection and sterilization, audit tools, and creating a culture of safety within the areas that perform high-level disinfection and sterilization in the facility. This session will be focused specifically on ambulatory care and critical access hospitals where more help is needed in developing these programs pertaining to high-level disinfection and sterilization processes.

During the session, you will:

  • Become knowledgeable in identifying resources for developing policies and procedures for high-level disinfection and sterilization
  • Receive insight on how to develop and utilize audit tools to routinely observe processes related to high-level disinfection and sterilization.
  • Bring back ideas to their teams involved in high-level disinfection and sterilization on creating a culture of safety around these high-risk regulatory infection control processes and how to sustain a well-developed program.

Need Help With Your Infection Control, Disinfection, or Sterilization Policies?

Nod Infection Prevention works with administrators of some of the most advanced hospitals and surgery centers in the country who used to worry about fines or shutdowns because of a bad survey. If you need help with data collection and training, we will assess how your infection control policies are being used and avoid unprofitable and unhelpful training sessions and help you prepare for your upcoming survey.

We use data to guide internal changes, so your team has superior infection control knowledge and top-notch practices. The facilities that work with Nod have a competitive advantage over other ASCs by significantly decreasing infection risk, increasing patient satisfaction, and eliminating issues before surveyors find them.
